Clemson Foothills Church Update

At just a year after the planting of the Clemson Foothills Church we have seen God do some pretty amazing things!

jacob-baptism.jpgIt takes a leap of faith to uproot your life and move to a new city and begin a new church and new campus ministry, but that’s exactly what a handful of men and women did in order to be apart of the great mission that God has called each disciple to. “Go and Make Disciples of All Nations...” and even though Clemson, South Carolina would hardly be considered a Nation, it and other smaller cities in the U.S. and around the world are no less important when it comes to the calling. On January 4th, 2009 CFC began with 13 brothers and sisters, since then we have had 11 move in from other congregations and we have had 6 Baptisms. One brother and one sister have since moved to other cities. We began meeting in the home of the Robinson’s and are now meeting on Sundays at the Hendrix Student Center on the campus of Clemson University with an average attendance of between 40 and 50 each week. We have been so encouraged by all that God has been doing in the lives of our friends who have come out to church and have begun studying the Bible. Those who have been Baptized Since the Church Planting are Meredith Cole, DJ Alrutz, Aaron Rowland, Blake Badders, Bryce Pinson and Jacob Richardson. We currently have about 10 other students who have been consistently coming to church, studying the Bible and who’s lives are changing in amazing ways! This is what it’s all about! Please continue to pray for the Clemson Foothills Church. We’re excited but we want to build right and with so many new faces and young Christians, we need God more than ever to give us the wisdom to do so! Thank you brothers & sisters for all your support!

cfc-update.jpgBryce Pinson, a Freshman at Tri-County Tech and a Member of the Tiger Marching Band at Clemson University was invited out to church by his fellow Band-mate, Meredith Cole; Bryce was baptized by Blake Badders, another brother who was Baptized this past August after also having been invited out by Meredith back in April. It's so encouraging to see how God is working through even the young Christians and their convictions to see their Campus won for God! Bryce began studying the bible with Jarrod Robinson and Blake Badders and imediately began making sure that his convictions came from the bible and not man. After much Bible Study and Prayer, he was baptized December 13th, 2009 and become our Brother in Christ!
