South Africa Hosts Youth & Family Conference

Thursday, 17 June 2010 23:18

We would like to invite you to the first ever Youth & Family Conference in South Africa! The theme of the conference is Live It 2 Give It and will take place July 15-18. The Christian life, modeled by parents, should be inspiring and one that our children desire to imitate. We all want to live our lives in such a way to instill our faith into the hearts of our children.

It is a tremendous blessing and responsibility to be a parent. As it is our task to train our children in the way they should go, we desperately need each other. We need teaching, training, and encouragement to raise a spiritual family.

We have some great speakers lined up to inspire us and share their experiences with us. Mike and Anne-Brigitte Taliaferro, Oneychi Oguhgha, Herve Fleurant, and others from around Africa are some that we will have opportunity to hear. There will be keynote messages, parenting classes, classes for men and women separate, a panel discussion, and incredible fellowship.

We look forward to seeing you on July the 16th!

The conference will kick-off on Friday night with a Parenting Keynote given by Mike and Anne-Brigitte Taliaferro. Saturday's lessons include a womens's session from Anne-Brigette talking about being a spiritual mom. The men will hear from Oneychi Oguagha about how to lead your home.

We will be concluding the teaching time on Saturday night with a family braai and dance party. We want a time to celebrate with our spiritual and physical families together.

In anticipation of the event and time together, we are also hosting a teen family “bring and braai” at the church building on Youth Day, Wednesday, June 16th from 11 AM to 3 PM. This event will include a regional family soccer competition.

We look forward to seeing you on June 16th and July 16th!
