We are immensely blessed by God to have been brought, by Him, to rebirth. He worked in our hearts directly and he worked through obedient disciples to teach us that a person is born again when they repent and are baptized in the name of Jesus (Acts 2:38 and John 3:1-8). There are lost people who don't believe, who believe only, who are baptized without repentance, who have repented but have not been baptized for the forgiveness of sins and some who apparently had it right doctrinally (at least) but walk no more. The salvation that we have, and that elsewhere is misunderstood, is not meant to be hoarded. In this generation most people purchase or obtain things that they want to keep for themselves. We might be tempted to do the same with our salvation, but it was God's plan for us to pass it along (John 7:38 and 1 Pe.2:9).
Let us lovingly, boldly and urgently share our faith for God (1 Tim.2:3-4), for Jesus (Mark 5:18-19), and for the lost ( Acts 5:41-42).
Jesus died to save those who live, study and work around us. If we won't open our mouths to save them, how much do we have in common with Him.
Let us pray for the harvest (Matt.9:35-38).Let us ask for forgiveness and repent of hoarding our salvation for ourselves. Let us share naturally with everyone we meet. Let us make time to meet new people with whom we can share. Let's encourage others to go out and share on a Saturday or during a discipleship time.
Let's build friendships with future disciples. If people are not interested in coming to church, let's invite them to study the Bible. If many disciples are baptized let's share more. If not many disciples are baptized, let's share more.
Informed lost people are on their own. Uninformed lost people are on us. We were never meant to be a dam, but a conduit. More than ever, let's pass it on with love, courage, urgency and perseverance.
