In the past week we have seen God moving and working powerfully in the NJ region of the NYCCOC Campus Ministry to bring three amazing young women into his kingdom – Ariel Martinez, Channa Gille and Shelsea Ocean!Ariel was reached out to in class at Bergen County College by Daniela Uribe who was just baptized this past February. Daniela and Ariel built an incredible friendship and this past Monday, May 6, Daniela was able to be baptized and to wash her sins away!
Channa and Shelsea grew up friends on the same street in Asbury Park, NJ and came to MSU together for their degrees. Early in the semester Genesis Serviano and Leah DiEgidio were walking on campus together and Leah invited Channa to Bible Talk, which she came to with her friend Shelsea. Channa and Shelsea began to study the Bible. Throughout the semester they kept getting closer and closer and quickly becoming very much part of our family in Christ. Finally, on Tuesday, May 7th, Channa was baptized; two days later on, Thursday May 9th, Shelsea too was united with Christ.
Over the summer Shelsea and Channa will be back in Asbury Park as part of the mission team to the Jersey Shore!
