Last May, Elizabeth Thomas was Baptized at Lake Hartwell. Elizabeth was a student at Tri-County Tech and a classmate of Emily Shapiro. Emily invited Elizabeth out to Church and the rest is history. Along with her adorable curly red haired daughter, Lollah, Elizabeth began showing up to every service...we knew she was married, but no husband was in sight. For some time we had heard about Nathan, we knew he existed but he was a phantom. One spring afternoon the marrieds had a cookout and lo and behold there was a ‘Nathan Siting’...and there he was in the flesh!

He was super friendly and he was even a great conversationalist. From that time on, Nathan showed up from time to time for worship services and other gatherings...he even cooked lunch for everyone one Sunday this past summer. After Elizabeth was baptized I met with Nathan at Moe Joe’s Coffee shop...a meeting he knew was coming...a question he knew was going to be asked...“Nathan, are you ready to study the bible?”

Nathan began studying this past summer with myself, Royce Miller, Joe Bradford and Ryan Jones and it has been so encouraging to see how much he has changed and how committed he has become to being a great husband, a great father and a great disciple and on September 7th, in the dark at Lake Hartwell, Nathan was Baptized. We are so excited and encouraged to have another married couple in the Clemson Foothills Church! Congratulations Nathan, Elizabeth and Lollah!
