Miracle in Maine
On March 16, 2012, at Lasell College in Newton, Massachusetts, Kara Heretakis invited a friend out to a St. Patrick’s Day party happening on campus that night. Her friend, Nick Rosenbaum, politely turned her down and instead invited her out to a Bible talk on campus. Unknown to Nick and Kara, God would use this one invitation to reconcile a whole family back to him. As they began an ongoing conversation about God and faith, Kara realized that Nick’s beliefs sounded familiar."MAGNIFICAR" - A Special Weekend for Latino Disciples and Friends
We want to take this opportunity to invite you to “MAGNIFICAR” – A Special Weekend for Latino Disciples and their friends; this will take place Saturday and Sunday, May 4th and 5th, in Boston. We will be blessed with special guest speakers Angel and Luz Martinez from the Dominican Republic. This will be a glorious time of encouragement, fellowship, learning and worship. Their is a great need in our churches for strong Spanish Speaking disciples and leaders to help reach out to a lost world. Our desire is to inspire those who are leading to continue growing in their faith and knowledge as well as to inspire others to grow in their capacity to serve God in the greatest way possible. We also want to encourage all of the Latino disciples to have great fellowship, unity and to be bright lights to continue Magnifying the Name of God through their daily lives!
On Saturday May 4th we will have a training time for all Latino Bible Talk Leaders and Future Leaders at 2:00 PM. The Martinez will share about their lives and how God has helped them to make disciples in the United States and the Caribean. It will be a special treat. Through this time we also hope to develop relationships that will help build Spanish Bible Talks and ministries in the North East. (Location: 75 Pleasant Street, Arlington, MA 02476)

Boston Relief Fund Established to Directly Support Marathon Victims
The Boston Marathon bombing is one of those tragic events that mark our lives. We will remember where we were when we heard, how we felt watching the images of horror and heroism, and the lessons that we learned. For other survivors, however, the attack will leave much more than memories. We are writing this as the suspects are being hunted down in a violent exchangeSharma Family Learns Blessing Amidst Chaos and Evil at Boston Marathon
My name is Sajjan Sharma and I ran the Boston Marathon on Monday with my father, brother and cousin. It was a perfect day...the weather was amazing! (So much better than the year before when it hit a record 87 degrees!) The people on the course that were running were in great spirits, and as usual, the spectators were completely encouraging.
Pray for Boston
Thank you so much for your prayers for our church, our city, and all those affected by the bombing tragedy at the Boston Marathon. About a dozen of our members ran in the marathon, while numerous friends and family were there encouraging and cheering them on. While no disciples were injured, many were touched by the tragedy and several had loved ones who were injured.New Life Celebrated Across Regions in Boston Church
Melting snow in Boston always gives promise to a vibrant Spring where we are able to witness God’s power unfold as new life begins again. Even more amazing than the budding of flowers and the return of green leaves to the trees, are human lives made new. As disciples of Jesus, our new lives are only possible because of our risen Savior. As we celebrated our risen Lord together this past Sunday, it was clear that God is currently resurrecting lives, dreams and visions within the Boston Church of Christ.
