fsu-10-9-10.jpgThis fall our ministry grew with the addition of 12 new move ins, as well as enjoying the fellowship of the Shiloh Church’s campus ministry here in Tallahassee (TCM).

Our campus tailgating crew this fall, dubbed the “SoberNoles”, has made an impact as they have righteous fun, in an otherwise unrighteous environment and setting.
We also saw God move as he expanded our active ministry to TCC (Tallahassee Community College) this semester with the help of many of the new freshman getting a bible talk started.  Many TCC students studied the bible as a result of the bible talk and ministry there.  We had over 30 students study the bible throughout the  campus ministry this fall!  We want to help others seek God and follow His Son Jesus Christ, and we are faithful that God will not allow His word to return empty!  (Isa 55:10)

We would like to express our deepest gratitude & thanks for all those in the Alpha Omega C5 ministry, as well as their parents & families.  It has been such a joy being able to lead & work alongside such a fine group of young men & women.  We have learned so much already in the short time we have been here, & look forward to the continued growth individually & collectively.
2011 has been a year of newness & transition for us personally, including being married in Feb. & working with the campus ministry in Tallahassee for the first full year.  We have watched the ministry double in the last 3 semesters to over 40 students with 11 baptisms!
Britt & I love God and each other deeply, & as we try to serve the campus ministry we are constantly challenged to keep the divine order in our lives: 1. God, 2. our marriage & family, 3. the church, & 4. the lost.  We have several great couples involved in our lives that help us, & we ask that you please pray for us to continue to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord!

Philosophy of Ministry:
At Alpha Omega C5, we are trying to build a ministry that focuses on equipping, encouraging, strengthening, and admonishing one another to love God with all our hearts, and to seek and save the lost.  We pray that every member of C5 will be motivated by God’s love, shown through the cross of Christ, to deny themselves and allow their lives to be living sacrifices for His glory. (Rom 12:1)

Throughout the ministry we have “cross training groups” which are groups of 3-4 students that get together weekly for the purposes of helping each other spiritually through prayer, bible study, accountability, and encouragement.  We also have evangelistic efforts and bible discussions on each campus which are headed up by each school’s “ministry reps”.

The Long View:
We want to build a ministry that takes the long view and teaches disciples to finish the race that has been marked out for them (Heb 12:1) and testify to the gospel of grace that they have received (Acts 20:24).  Also in the face of trials, in which life brings all kinds, we hope to respond as Peter did when he was asked by the Lord “Are you going to leave too?” and he replied, “Lord, to whom shall we go?  You have the words of eternal life.  We believe and know you are the holy one of God.” (John 6:68-69)

“In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”  Philippians 1:4-6
