Seattle Campuses Growing

  Friday, 25 June 2010 08:23
This year, Seattle campus ministries have seen miracles that remind us how God is always faithful. Some of the best news comes from a Bible Talk that was started last year at a small school, Seattle Pacific University. They began this year with only three disciples on that campus. The group was faithful and persevered and there were four baptisms and a restoration on that campus with two more counting the cost! They will start the fall with 10 disciples there. Fabricio Turcios (a disciple from Houston) and Alli Winji have led that BT in a faithful and inspiring way.

Our Bellevue College Ministry started with no disciples this year. Out of nothing God worked powerfully... they Baptized two and a third who was a student in Missoula MT. That was an amazing story for a group that started from scratch without a campus minister. baptisms2.jpg

At the University of Washinton, there have been 8 Baptisms so far this year. Mick Connors was baptized and is a member of one of the campus fraternities. He ended up holding two Bible talks in his frat before the school year ended. Also, Peter Allen a Freshman on the Husky Crew team was baptized as well. All have remained faithful to the Lord. We hope to start the fall with over 50 disciples on the Seattle campuses! More great news is coming out of the Northwest section of the USA. Alex Whitaker wrote in that the NW held its annual campus retreat. 130 students drove hundreds of miles (some of them twelve hours), to meet together. It was exciting. This year in the Northwest we've grown by over 50 campus disciples, with some ministries actually doubling in size. Boise State went from two students two years ago to 22 now. Praise God for all the answered prayers and new Christians.
