What is the weather like in July?
The weather in Colorado is very unpredictable. It could be sunny in the morning and rainy in the afternoon, or vice versa. The average temperature in Estes Park in July ranges from 65 F - 80 F during the day and lows around 50 F during the night. The best preparation is to dress in layers. It can feel considerably cooler in the mountains. Check weather forecasts ahead of your trip before packing (www.weather.com has a 10-day forecast that might be helpful).

How should I plan for the High Altitude?
The key is to remember that you are at a higher altitude that is typically very dry. Drink plenty of water, use sunscreen, use chapstick, and rest when needed. Be aware of your body, especially during exercise while in the mountains. More information will be available in your conference packets to help avoid issues. Begin drinking more water the week before the event.

Is the conference registration fee refundable?
A portion of your registration fee may be refundable on a case by case basis. (i.e. Health or family emergencies, etc.) If you’ve already registered and cannot attend, send an email to: This email address is being protected from spambots. When should I arrive?
Please review the schedule to determine when you should arrive and make your plans accordingly. There will be a Campus Staff Workshop during the day on Thursday, while the Opening Session for the conference is Thursday evening. If flying in, please give yourself at least two hours from landing at the airport for the commute to Estes Park. If you expect to arrive late in the night (between 10 pm and 8 am), prior arrangements must be made to give you access to your room.

What if I want to bring my children?
You are welcome to bring children, but we are not planning childcare or activities for them. The YMCA camp has many family activities, so please see the YMCA website for details. There will be a $19 per night fee for each child ages 6 - 12, which includes meals. Children ages 13 and older will be charged the full adult rate, which varies depending on the number of adults in their room.
