The Kuwait singles may only number four disciples, but we are living a life full of impact. Three sisters – Ann from Jamaica, Moriel from the Philippines and Deanne from the US – together with Zaid – a brother who recently moved to Kuwait from the church in Jordan – probably make up the most diverse singles ministry in any church but we are the “bestest” of friends.

Kampala, the capital city of Uganda, a landlocked country in the center of Africa, is home to a vibrant group of disciples. This month alone, they have had 12 baptisms, bringing the total number of new brothers and sisters added to the family so far in 2011 to twenty one! That is more baptisms in 3 months than any one year total since the church was started. Several baptisms are a result of last year’s Women’s Day. However, the numbers are not the goal – rather it is the excitement of seeing people fall in love with and grow in their relationship with God.

It’s been ten years in the making, but as the Scriptures say, “Your labor in the Lord is never in vain”.

Over 1,470 singles disciples from 28 countries SOARed this past weekend in Manila at the 2010 ICOC International Singles Conference.

 

With classes, speeches, HOPE tours, worship devotionals, mixers, Bible Talk leader workshops, and lots of opportunities for fellowship, the singles are being inspired to SOAR to great heights, life their spirits, realize their dreams and return to the days of old when the singles ministries rocked!
